About the role
As a Product Application Engineer at FlatFrog, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the technical development of a product and its practical application in real-world scenarios. You will be responsible for understanding the product's features and capabilities and working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure it meets their specific needs. The key responsibilities include:
Product Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on our product, understanding technical specifications, features, and capabilities thoroughly.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product development teams, reporting customer feedback, issues, and suggesting improvements or new features.
Competitor and Ecosystem Understanding: Analyze the competitive landscape, including features, performance, and limitations of competing and complementary solutions. Drive benchmark testing of FlatFrog products and ecosystem products.
Customer Engagement and Support: Assist customers in integrating FlatFrog products, proposing necessary changes in both FlatFrog and customer products. Develop and deliver training sessions, webinars, and workshops to educate customers on product features, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Gather customer feedback, utilizing it to drive product improvements and enhancements.
Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, technical manuals, FAQs, integration guides, and evaluation user guides.
Quality Assurance: Conduct product testing, evaluate software updates, and ensure products meet customer expectations in terms of performance and quality.
Project Management:
Assist in managing and implementing product-related projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope.



We look for a person, rather than a perfect CV. But as far as qualification goes, we believe that you have:
Bachelor's or higher degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
A technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
Customer focus and dedication to ensuring the product's success in meeting customer needs.
Open to learning new technologies and skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive approach to finding solutions and strong self-drive

It is a plus but not necessary if you have:
previous experience in a simiar role
knowledge of the industry or domain in which the product is used is beneficial.

About the role
We are currently seeking a talented Backend Developer with interest in DevOps to join our team in Lund, Sweden. In this role, your primary responsibility will involve the development and maintenance of the server side of FlatFrog board, mainly working with Node.js applications hosted on the Google Cloud Platform.
As part of our agile team, your mission will be to provide an outstanding digital whiteboarding experience for our expanding user community. Beyond being a skilled backend developer, we anticipate that you will bring a lot of expertise in scaling, maintaining, and orchestrating automated regression testing for the backend component of web-based products.
While your primary role is centered around backend development, it is expected that everyone pitches in when required, ensuring a shared sense of responsibility and knowledge transfer. Operating within a mostly self-managed team framework, we emphasize efficiency with minimal overhead. Our planning cycle occurs on a weekly basis, affording you substantial influence over the development trajectory. Daily stand-ups provide a platform to swiftly gauge progress and overcome challenges, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving.

Your profile
We're searching for someone who thrives in high-performing teams and always aims to do better than expected. Your focus on quality is a big plus and you have a track record of delivering code that works. Ideally, you hold at least a degree in computer science or equivalent.

Vi tänker oss att du har med dig några års erfarenhet av hårdvaruutveckling inom inbyggda system och din uppgift hos oss kommer främst vara att säkerställa att våra projekt genomförs smidigt och med tydlig och transparant kommunikation. Du har förmodligen tidigare erfarenhet av teknisk projektledning och därmed tror vi också att du har en förmåga att koordinera och paketera ett gäng briljanta ingenjörers idéer till ett slutmål. Du gillar att skapa struktur och ordning. Du har antagligen en naturlig fallenhet för kommunikation och involverar de du bedömer behövs längs vägen.


Dina huvudsakliga ansvarsområden kommer att inkludera:
Utarbeta projektplaner tillsammans med huvudprojektledaren, resursallokering och tidsramar för att säkerställa att hårdvaruteamets arbete levereras enligt mål.
Föra daglig kommunikation och säkerställa effektivt samarbete inom teamet och med andra avdelningar, i Sverige och Asien.
Säkerställa att projekten uppfyller de tekniska kraven och regelverken.



Vi tror att det är viktigt att du har:
Cirka 5 års erfarenhet av hårdvaruutveckling inom inbyggda system (mekanik/elektronik/mekatronik)
Intresse av teknisk projektledning
Stark kommunikationsförmåga och att bygga goda relationer
Öga för struktur och ordning
Flytande engelska?– många av dina framtida kollegor pratar bara engelska
