Som Produktionsingenjör hos Cellevate kommer du ha en nyckelroll när de byter till större lokaler och introducerar en ny maskin för uppskalning. De kommer även påbörja arbetet för att certifiera produktionen enligt ISO-standarder, vilket kräver högkvalitativ dokumentation, processer och metoder. Du kommer vara den första heltidsanställda i teamet och ha huvudansvar över detta arbete, vilket ger dig möjlighet att påverka och forma produktionsmiljön.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER

Arbetsuppgifter


* Producera Cellevate nanofiberbaserade bärare med hög kvalitet i en renrumsmiljö i enlighet med produktspecifikationer och regulatoriska krav
* Utföra produktionsarbete självständigt, inklusive nanofiber-elektrospinning, cellulosa-regenerering, funktionalisering, tvärbindning och kvalitetskontroll (QC) av material
* Optimera produktionsparametrar från produktionsskalning till kommersiell tillverkning
* Delta aktivt i designöverföring till produktion och implementering av kvalitetshanteringssystem (QMS) genom nära samarbete med R&D-teamet och QA/RA-teamet
* Ansvara för att leverera producerade produkter enligt produktion och logistikplanering. Kontinuerligt upprätthålla och övervaka hög kvalitet och produktivitet
* Ha huvudsakligt ansvar för processer, metoder och instrument
* Driva förbättringar av metoder, processer och arbetsflöden, inklusive dokumentstruktur för att säkerställa batchspårbarhet


VI SÖKER DIG SOM
- Har en masterexamen inom kemi, polymerkemi eller materialkemi
- Har 3-5 års erfarenhet från relevant industri
- Har god vana vid dokumentation och erfarenhet av att arbeta inom regulatorisk miljö, exempelvis ISO-certifierad miljö.
- Är obehindrad i engelska, både i tal och skrift

Responsibilities
As the expert of powder technology, you will have the chance to be involved in every aspect and be part of BONESUPPORTs core business. You will get to take part in improvements and new development as a subject matter expert, both internally and externally when called for. Providing deep scientific knowledge in the understanding of powder, its characteristics and why it acts the way that it does. Being the expert advisory in problem solving related to this area, with the competence to provide insights from development through scaling up to production. Depending on which strengths you bring, you will also be part in shaping the role going forward.

Some of the responsibilities and activities in the role will be:

• Be responsible for and drive research activities/projects which concerns the ceramic (Calcium Sulfate and Calcium Phosphate) part of our products

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of work experience post you PhD within a relevant field

• Experience in transferring research and/or processes from lab to production

• Experience in advanced material characterization methods and analytical techniques such as FTIR, ESCA, XRD, Raman spectrometry, LC-MS, SEM and AFM

• Knowledge in the areas of colloid and surface chemistry, dissolution, precipitation and crystallization

• Experience in powder processing methods

• A broad international network in relevant areas

• Experience in project management

• Experience in the medical device industry

• Ability to review large amounts of information and to prioritize your actions based on the information you have taken in

ESS is now looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on studying the dynamics of cyanobacterial membranes. The postdoc will be part of the Sample Handling and User Laboratory Facilities Group SULF organised within the Science Directorate. SULF is responsible for supporting future neutron scattering users with life-science and chemistry labs for sample preparation, conditioning and characterization.

Job description

The researcher will join a Human Frontier Science Program funded study investigating the cellular role of diesel-like hydrocarbons in cyanobacteria and algae. Release of cyanobacterial hydrocarbons into the environment is vast (Lea-Smith et al, PNAS, 2015) and these compounds are essential for optimal cell size, division and growth (Lea-Smith et al, Plant Physiology, 2016). However, the exact cellular role of these hydrocarbons is unknown. The postdoctoral research fellow will join an international collaboration with teams from Imperial College London, UK, University of East Anglia, UK and University of Auckland, New Zealand.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing samples of cyanobacterial membranes and characterising them using laboratory equipment. The candidate will apply for neutron scattering beamtime and lead the neutron spin-echo (NSE) and small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) experiments at neutron scattering facilities such as ILL, SNS or ISIS to study the membrane fluctuations. The candidate will analyse the neutron data and work with the simulation group on modelling the data.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications is required: 


• PhD obtained within the last 6 years (or soon to be obtained) in chemistry, physics or related field
• Experience in characterisation of materials and working in a chemical laboratory

We think that the successful candidate also has one or more of the following experiences: 


• Experience of working with membranes
• Experience of working in a cross-disciplinary team
• Experience of neutron or X-ray scattering at a large scale facility is an advantage, especially SANS/SAXS and NSE

The candidate should feel comfortable working in a chemical laboratory. Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite. We truly believe that you are well-organised and have a proactive and self-motivated approach to your work. 

The position is funded by the Human Frontiers Science Program (HFSP) grant. It is an international collaboration with teams from also the UK and New Zealand. The position will involve travel, both to beamtime and to meetings.

The position is a fixed term position of 2 years.

• Knowledge in the areas of colloid and surface chemistry, dissolution, precipitation, trace elements, foreign phase content, crystallinity, elemental impurities, specific surface area and particle size distribution
• Experience in transferring research and/or processes from lab to production
• Experience in powder processing methods
• English written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Experience in bone graft substitutes
