What we do at Acconeer
Acconeer is a young and innovative company listed on Nasdaq First North developing a 60 GHz/mmW pulsed coherent radar based on research from Lund University. The Acconeer radar sensor combines extremely low power consumption with sub-mm distance estimation accuracy. It opens for detection of micro-motion, objects’ direction estimation, material classification, human breathing measurement and much more, all within a sensor sized 5x5 mm including antennas.
Acconeer will move to Malmö, next to Masttorget in Västra hamnen, in the summer of 2021. We are currently a group of around 40 people with high R&D focus, working closely together over the R&D disciplines - hardware, software, system and algorithm research and development. We have a large and growing international customer base in the consumer, industrial and automotive segments.

We are looking for a Software engineer with Python skills to join our SW team!
In the software team at Acconeer we are seven software engineers working closely together with the rest of the company. We are responsible for everything from low level microcontroller drivers to an automated python framework that verifies all our changes. We use Git for version handling and Jenkins to test and build our reviewed code. We work in an agile manner with Jira as a tool for our Kanban-based planning. Our continuous integration enables us to release our software with short notice.
The most important and crucial part of how we work is the way we work together as a team. Problems and solutions are discussed together, ideas are welcomed and encouraged. You will both have a chance to excel in things you do very well and try out things you haven´t tried before. And you will always have a team supporting and cheering you on.
We are now looking for someone whose primary role will be to take the lead on the software development and implementation of our Python-based tools used by both us and our customers. The role requires an understanding of our sensor and how to best present its features in an educative, user friendly way. Since our sensor offering will expand in the coming years, an important part of the work will be the scalability and testability of the code.
Our most essential tool is Exploration Tool . It is often our customers´ first interaction with our sensor to evaluate and understand our technology and is a tool that we continuously get very good reviews of. Exploration Tool runs on your PC with a GUI based on Qt and communicates with the sensor via UART/socket/USB through our custom software running on an embedded host. While Python knowledge is required for this position, being familiar with C is also beneficial.

Who we are at Acconeer
At Acconeer we depend on and love new ideas and initiatives. We have Innovation Day a couple of times each year when it is free to play around with any of your crazy ideas that you might have. As we are a small company with open minded employees it is always easy to discuss with people outside your team to satisfy your hunger for knowledge.
We love working in a scaleup where we have real possibilities to influence both the product and the ways of working. We get to work with cutting edge technology in close collaboration with our colleagues. If you feel the same way about team work and amazing technology, we´d love to meet you!
Please send your application to [email protected]. We will evaluate applications continuously.

We are looking for a Senior Hardware Integration Engineer to our growing R&D organization!
The main responsibility of the Hardware Integration team is design and development of radar modules that demonstrate the performance of the Acconeer radar sensor. To this date, Acconeer have released three radar modules; the High-Performance module, where the radar sensor is integrated with an M7 MCU; the IoT module where the radar sensor is integrated with a Bluetooth transceiver and M4 MCU; and the Entry module, where the radar sensor is integrated with an M0 MCU, focusing on a small footprint and low cost.
The HWI team is also responsible for the radar sensor antenna and package design, as well as ensuring that the infrastructure for test and validation of the radar sensor is optimized. The Senior HWI Engineer will have a leading role in systemizing and designing the radar modules, collaborating with the other teams within Acconeer R&D and Product Management, looking into the future of radar sensor products, applications, and features.
The Hardware Integration team is a small team where everyone pitches in to solve the tasks at hand, so the position involves hands-on tasks such as soldering of PCBs, PCB Layout work in Altium and writing scripts in Python for instrument control related to validation of the module designs and radar sensor validation. It is desirable that the candidate has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent, and a couple of years of experience of product development within embedded systems hardware.
