Beskrivning av arbetsplatsen
Tjänsten är placerad vid avdelningen för industriell elektroteknik och automation, IEA, LTH, Lunds universitet. Vi bedriver spetsforskning och utbildning om hur elektriska energisystem kan utvecklas för en hållbar framtid, inte minst med avseende på teknik och system för elektrisk och elektromekanisk energiomvandling. Avdelningen har en omfattande experimentell verksamhet såväl inom grundutbildning som forskning. Verksamheten är lokaliserad på LTH i Lund och på LTH Campus Helsingborg.
Våra nyrenoverade laboratorier är specialbyggda för att kunna genomföra avancerade experiment inom kraftelektronisk och elektromekanisk energiomvandling på system upp till 200 kW effekt och 1500 V. I dessa ingår detaljerade mätningar och modellering av komponenter och system.
Du kommer att ingå i ett internationellt team av ingenjörer och forskare, som samverkar med avdelningens forskningsledare och forskarstuderande. Teamets roll innefattar bland annat design av komponenter och system inom kraftelektronisk och elektromekanisk energiomvandling, relaterade mätsystem samt modellbyggnad och analys.

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
Du kommer att ansvara för olika former av laborativ verksamhet vid avdelningen både inom grundutbildning och forskning. Detta innebär bland annat att du förbereder, köper in komponenter, bygger upp, underhåller, plockar ned och dokumenterar laborationer inom grundutbildningen. Du deltar också aktivt i utvecklingsarbete av nya laborationsmoment. Du får möjlighet att stötta och handleda studenter i laborativa delar av deras examensarbete.
Du kommer att få en viktig roll i många av avdelningens forskningsprojekt. Det kan innebära att du, i samarbete med doktorander och deras handledare, designar och bygger såväl prototyper som specialutrustning. Du får också ansvar för underhåll, reparationer och kalibrering av teknisk utrustning vid avdelningen. Här ingår även hantering av förråd, dokumentation och uppdatering av utrustningen samt löpande planering av inköp när behov uppstår.
I dina arbetsuppgifter ingår också hantering av avdelningens kemikalier och att delta i säkerhets- och riskanalyser för arbetet i avdelningens verkstäder och laboratorier. Du kommer att samarbeta med andra avdelningar inom LTH . Vi strävar efter att dra ömsesidig nytta av de specialkunskaper och den specialutrustning som finns på LTH’s olika institutioner och avdelningar.

Kvalifikationer
Krav för anställningen är:
god kunskap inom mekanik och elkretsteori, både inom signal- och kraftelektronik
god kännedom om instrument och kopplingar som används inom teknikområdet
god förmåga att bygga och reparera labbuppställningar, prototyper och tillhörande mät- och styrsystem
erfarenhet av praktiskt verkstadsarbete såsom t.ex. svarvning och fräsning
ingenjörsutbildning med relevant inriktning
kommunikativ förmåga och god samarbetsförmåga samtidigt som du kan arbeta självständigt
goda kunskaper i engelska, i tal och skrift

Meriterande för anställningen är:
erfarenheter inom utveckling, design och prototypframtagning

Beskrivning av arbetsplatsen 
Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik, EIT, på Lunds tekniska högskola, LTH, Lunds universitet, är en av de större institutionerna med cirka 120 anställda.

Institutionen består av fyra avdelningar samt en teknisk och administrativ grupp. Vi är placerade på LTH:s campus i norra Lund, men har även undervisningsverksamhet på campus Helsingborg. 

Avdelningen för elektromagnetism och nanoelektronik, EMN, inom institutionen bedriver forskning inom området halvledarmaterial, komponenter och kretsar samt elektromagnetism. Forskningen har många kontakter med internationella partners såväl som industrin.  

Vi söker nu en ny kollega i form av en forskningsingenjör med inriktning halvledarteknik.

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
Denna tjänst syftar till att utveckla teknologi att växa III-V lager på Si substrat.

Arbetet kommer att utföras i Lund Nano Lab och ske i samarbete med forskare på både Fysiska Institutionen samt EIT. Du kommer att ta fram teknologi för preparering av ”wafers” för epitaxiell odling av halvledarkristaller baserat på MOVPE samt karaktärisering av kristallstruktur och perfektion.

Arbetet är en del i Europeiska samarbetsprojekt och kommer att ske i samarbete med industriella partners.

Kvalifikationer 
Krav för anställningen är:

- Doktorsexamen i fysik, elektroteknik, nanovetenskap eller motsvarande.

Forskningsingenjör i elektroteknik till Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

Forskningen vid avdelningen för Integrerade elektroniksystem, IES, på Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik, EIT, är en balanserad satsning som kombinerar system- och kretsdesign.

Vi designar integrerade kretsar (chips) i avancerade nanometer-CMOS-teknologier, inklusive digitala signalprocessorer, radiofrekvens- och millimetervågsfrontendar, datakonverterare samt större system med en blandning av analoga och digitala signaler. 

Vid IES är vi medvärdar för forskningscentret ClassIC för halvledarsystemdesign, finansierat av Stiftelsen för Strategisk Forskning (SSF).

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
Din främsta arbetsuppgift är att vara ansvarig för komponentdelen av Lunds universitets noden inom EU ”ChipsAct Wide Bandgap” Pilotlinan (WBG). Denna har fokus på utveckling av GaN-, AlGaN- och AlN-halvledarkomponenter för effekt- och RF-applikationer. 
Du kommer att arbeta med att sätta upp och hantera chiptillverkning, komponentmodellering med hjälp av TCAD samt elektrisk mätning av komponenter.

Det finns också möjligheter att direkt interagera med andra forskningsprojekt relaterat till  komponenter med stora bandgap, samt att interagera med doktorander och handleda examensarbetare inom institutionen.

En del av det experimentella arbetet kommer att utföras i renrummet vid Lund Nano Lab.

In the Automation team, we work with producing electrical schematics, functional documentation, and software integration for all equipment within the Lab.

Supporting the research community in building and integrating their equipment to the facility, with focus on keeping people and machines safe.

Your main work tasks will be

- Bulk programming of Rockwell ControlLogix plc, adding the same code to a large number on plc:s
- Adding corresponding code and screens in our HMI using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

 If time permits

- Setting up a logging system using OPC-UA and TimescaleDB
- Implementing code and screen in our HMI HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and HighCharts to visualize the logged data
- Investigate using the logged data for some kind of machine learning, preventive maintenance
- Investigate opensource notification service that has Javascript support to be able to send alarm notifications from our HMI
- Migrate our PLC code repository from Rockwell AssetCentre to GitLab


To be successful in this role you need to have the following qualifications

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
Som forskningsingenjör på Institutionen för reglerteknik arbetar du i en grupp bestående av teknisk och administrativ personal. Din arbetsgrupp samarbetar tätt med forskare, lärare, doktorander, studenter och administration. Tonvikten för tjänsten ligger i inbyggda system, systemintegration och server-hantering, men även IT-drift och allmän service ingår.

Du kommer att vara en expert i ett större sammanhang. Det är därför viktigt att du självständigt kan identifiera behov och såväl föreslå som implementera tekniska lösningar.  I arbetsuppgifterna ingår systemintegration av inbyggda system för RobotLab, institutionens undervisningslab, samt forskningsprojekt som är avhängiga av egenutvecklad eller anpassad mjuk- och/eller hårdvara. Du kommer även att arbeta med drift, lokala anpassningar och i viss mån utveckling av ny mjukvara för institutionens Linuxmiljö. Utöver detta förutsätts du även besitta kunskaper som krävs för att integrera och i förekommande fall felsöka inbyggd hårdvara. 

Kvalifikationer
Krav för anställningen är:

- Examen som civilingenjör eller motsvarande alternativt 180 hp inom relevant utbildning
- Erfarenhet av installation, drift, underhåll av Linux servermiljöer
- God kännedom och vana av virtualisering (här används främst Linux/KVM, libvirt samt containers)
- God kännedom om och vana av Linux nätverk (routing, nftables, conntrack, DHCP, DNS, PXE, brandväggar)
- God kännedom om automatiserad installation av programvara och konfiguration av maskiner.
- Kännedom om och viss vana av -servrar
- Vana av att använda, felsöka och felrapportera öppen källkod
- Vana av att använda versionshantering (git)
- Kännedom om och vana av programmeringsspråk (C, Python, Java, Rust)
- Mycket goda kunskaper i engelska, i tal och skrift
- Mycket goda kunskaper i svenska, i tal och skrift

Meriterande för anställningen är:

- Vana av hantering av RPM-baserade linux distrubutioner (Fedora, CentOS, RHEL, Suse)

Beskrivning av arbetsplatsen
Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik vid Lunds tekniska högskola, Lunds universitet, är en av de större institutionerna med ca 120 medarbetare.

Vi finns på LTH:s campus i norra Lund, och bedriver forskning och undervisning inom främst elektro- och informationsteknik, som elektronikkomponenter, elektromagnetism, analoga och digitala integrerade system, trådlösa kommunikationssystem, datanätverk, Internet och datasäkerhet. På institutionen har vi mycket laborativ verksamhet med ett större forskningslab inom elektroniksystem och trådlös kommunikation och ett inom 5G- och 6G-nätverk och applikationer. Inom den laborativa delen för främst kretssystem och trådlös kommunikation arbetar vi idag med radiofrekvenser och är på väg att uppgradera utrustningen till mm-vågsspektrat på några hundra GHz.

Beskrivning av arbetsplatsen
Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik vid Lunds tekniska högskola, Lunds universitet, är en av de större institutionerna med ca 120 medarbetare.

Vi finns på LTH:s campus i norra Lund, och bedriver forskning och undervisning inom främst elektro- och informationsteknik, som elektronikkomponenter, elektromagnetism, analoga och digitala integrerade system, trådlösa kommunikationssystem, datanätverk, Internet och datasäkerhet. På institutionen har vi mycket laborativ verksamhet med ett större forskningslab inom elektroniksystem och trådlös kommunikation och ett inom 5G- och 6G-nätverk och applikationer. Inom den laborativa delen för främst kretssystem och trådlös kommunikation arbetar vi idag med radiofrekvenser och är på väg att uppgradera utrustningen till mm-vågsspektrat på några hundra GHz.

Beskrivning av arbetsplatsen och projektet
Tjänsten är placerad på avdelningen för kommunikationsteknologi vid Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknologi på LTH i Lund.

Avdelningen har 8 seniora forskare och ca 20 doktorander och ett rikt samarbete med industrin. Inom avdelningen arbetar vi med trådlös kommunikation i en bredare bemärkelse och verksamheten sträcker sig från kommunikationsteori till implementering av antennstrukturer.

Trådlös kommunikation i bilar handlar inte längre bara om infotainment. Användningen av trådlös kommunikation mellan fordon (V2X) växer snabbt och är en nyckelteknik för ökad trafiksäkerhet och effektivitet. För noggranna prestandautvärderingar är det nödvändigt att ta hela systemet i beaktande, inklusive påverkan från omgivande miljö, andra fordon, nätverksstacken och applikationen. V2X-kommunikation kommer att förlita sig på olika underliggande kommunikationsteknologier. För att göra realistisk bedömning av prestanda och studera komplementärt beteende hos t.ex IEEE 802.11p/ITS-G5, 5G-NR för fordonskommunikation (C-V2X) är det därför nödvändigt att kunna göra detaljerade och samtidiga simuleringsstudier, med ett realistisk tidsbeteende och inklusive inverkan från hela nätverkskedjan. Framöver ser vi också att denna typ av storskaliga systemsimuleringar kan användas för andra typer av trådlösa kommunikationssystem, så anpassningar och arbete med andra scenario än fordonskommunikation ingår också.

Arbetsuppgifter
I arbetet ska du inledningsvis arbeta med ett simuleringsramverk, baserat på NS/3 och Unity tillsammans med en egenutvecklad modell för radiokanalens beteende. Du arbetar med simuleringar på system- och applikationsnivå där detaljerade modeller av miljö- och antennarrangemang används, delar som är viktiga i kommunikationssystemet, men också speciella i fordonsmiljöer. Du kommer att implementera klusterbaserade kanalmodeller baserade på realistiska miljöbeskrivningar från detaljerad kartdata. För att komplettera befintliga modeller i litteraturen, särskilt när det gäller riktningsegenskaper i de utvalda scenarierna, kan vi komma att utföra radiokanalmätningar i vissa specifika miljöer.

I arbetsuppgifterna ingår att ta fram, utvärdera och implementera lämpliga kanalmodeller för simuleringsramverket, inklusive realistiska rörelsemönster, omgivningsbeskrivning, kanalmodeller och kommunikationsprotokoll. Projektplanering, deltagande och utvärdering av eventuella mätkampanjer för kanalkarakterisering, och samarbete med ev. projektpartners ingår också. Du förväntas bidra till att föra projekten framåt och att få ut forskningsresultaten både nationellt och internationellt. I tjänsten ingår också upp till 20% undervisning, både vad det gäller grundutbildning och handledning. Arbetsuppgifterna kan komma att förändras över tid utifrån verksamhetens behov.

Kvalifikationer

- Mycket goda kunskaper i engelska, i tal och skrift.
- Erfarenhet från storskalig simulering av trådlösa kommunikationssystem.

ESS is now looking for a Senior RF Engineer for the RF Section/Accelerator Division organised within the Machine Directorate. The RF Section is responsible for for defining, designing, installing, commissioning and finally for operating and maintaining the RF systems and amplifiers required for the accelerator and test stands at ESS.

Job description
Your main responsibilities will be to manage and supervise installation, testing and initial operation of the RF systems for one or more sections linac.

In this role you will take responsibility for the coordination of complete RF systems for one or more sections of the linac. This will involve working closely with the different technical disciplines including LLRF, interlock systems and the high power amplifiers. The role will initially focus on installation activities, initial test and commissioning of the systems and will later extend to operation with beam. Additionally, you will act as a deputy to the RF Section Leader and Work Package Manager.

Your main areas of responsibilities as a Senior RF Engineer will be to:


• Manage and supervise installation, testing and initial operation of the RF systems for one or more sections linac
• Act as deputy and support to the RF Section Leader and Work Package Manager;
• Manage installation of future systems and RF projects to improve performance and reliability;
• Identify and manage several projects to improve performance and reliability of ESS;
• Assist with planning and budgeting for assigned projects;
• Oversee and plan for operational and shut down activities;
• Work with and direct In-Kind partners and industry;
• Carry out system testing and fault finding;

Qualifications:
As a senior member of the RF Section, you have a broad background in several disciplines relevant for RF systems as well as experience of installation, commissioning and operation of high power RF systems for accelerators. The subsystems include LLRF, high power sources, solid state amplifiers, RF distribution, phase reference lines, power supplies and auxiliary systems, interlock systems and controls. Educated to a high academic level e.g. a PhD, you have a minimum of 5 year’s post academic experience relevant to the role. Ideally you have theoretical and practical experience with accelerator design, in particular where relevant to the interactions of the RF systems, accelerating structures and the beam.

Work Experience


• Experience with complex high power RF systems preferably with an accelerator background;
• Hands-on experience with design, test and operation;
• Project and/or line management experience of a relevant technical nature.

Arbetsuppgifter

Syftet med projektet är att undersöka flexibla automationslösningar samt digital och sömlös informationshantering inom byggnationsapplikationer.

Visst samarbete eker med Danmark och Tyskland. Under projektperioden (2 år) ska arbete göras inom robotik, konfigurering/mass customization och mekatronik, allt med koppling till byggnadskonstruktion.

Kvalifikationer

- Utbildning: Civilingenjörsexamen inom relevant ämne, inkluderande mekatronik för programmering av mikroregulatorer, och konfigurering/mass customization inom byggnadskonstruktion.
- Erfarenhet: erfarenhet av robotsimulering. Minst fem års erfarenhet av arbete inom byggnadskonstruktionsindustrin.
- Mycket goda kunskaper i engelska, både skriftligt och muntligt, krävs.

Bedömningsgrunder

- Utbildning: Simulering av produktionssystem och produktionskontroll.
- Erfarenhet: Deltagande i forskningsprojekt.
- Förmåga att sprida forskningsresultat både skriftligen och muntligen på norska, danska och svenska och/eller tyska är en merit.
- Avancerad CAD-kunskap
- Erfarenhet av projektledning

Krav

MAX IV is a Swedish national large-scale research laboratory hosted by Lund University. It provides scientists from Sweden as well as internationally, with state-of-the-art instrumentation for research in areas such as engineering, physics, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually, conducting ground-breaking experiments in materials and life sciences using the brilliant X-ray light. As a national laboratory, MAX IV is operated in agreement with governmental regulations, and in compliance with major funders such as the Swedish Research Council (VR) and the Wallenberg Foundation. 250 people are currently employed at MAX IV Laboratory, and 16 beamlines are funded. The facility is in a ramp-up phase with 3 beamlines now receiving users and 13 more scheduled to be commissioned and built to receive users within the next few years. The facility is dimensioned for 25-28 beamlines.



The core of the MAX IV facility are three sources of synchrotron radiation: a 3 GeV electron storage rings that provides utrahigh brightness X rays, a 1.

5 GeV ring providing soft X rays and UV radiation and a 3 GeV linear accelerator that serves as an injector to the two storage rings and also generates electron bunches that drive the production of ultra-short X ray pulses.

MAX IV is a pioneer in a number of developments in accelerator physics and engineering and hosts, in particular, the first ultralow emittance storage ring based on a multi-bend achromat, a design which is currently being followed by many other laboratories worldwide.

A number of high power radio-frequency (RF) systems both in S-Band (pulsed) and UHF (CW) frequency ranges are crucial to the MAX IV accelerators. Even though already functional, these RF systems still need to be expanded and improved to cope with growing needs of synchrotron radiation users as well as the need to deliver high reliability operation. In addition to being responsible for the RF systems, the MAX IV RF group also has responsibility for maintaining and improving electron beam diagnostics and feedback systems, such as beam position monitors and the fast bunch-by-bunch feedback system.

We are now looking for an RF Group manager/Research Engineer.

Job description
The Group manager will lead and develop the Radio-frequency (RF) group at MAX IV in order to:

- Deliver high reliability RF systems and RF-based diagnostics and feedback systems for the accelerators.
- Further develop, propose and implement improvements and upgrades to RF systems and RF-baseddiagnostics and feedback systems for the accelerators.

Qualifications

- A PhD or equivalent experience in RF engineering or related technical area
- Several years of experience with particle accelerator RF systems
- Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and develop people
- Good command of both written and spoken English  
- Experience with Q/A and testing is advantageous
- Experience with project management is advantageous
- Experience in leading groups is advantageous

This will be a permanent position as Research Engineer with a renewable 3 year assignment as RF Group manager.
