We are looking for an experienced 3GPP RAN1 delegate to work with the evolution of 5G and the emergence of 6G.
You will be part of one of our Standards and research teams, responsible for generating and evaluating innovative ideas for 5G and next-generation radio networks and associated technologies and solutions. The team addresses 3GPP standardization of current and future communication systems and is responsible for creating and driving Intellectual Property Rights and standardization proposals. The team is also communicating standardization activities and trends to other R&D teams and helps coordinate relevant research and development activities.
Our research team cooperates with external partners so you will explore potential University cooperation’s for emerging research concepts with potential for future radio access technologies. Since our research team covers multiple functional layers and workgroups you will have the chance to master the complete system but the focus of research within this position is physical layer and the functionality covered by 3GPP RAN1.
Qualifications & experience
• It is required to have at least 8-10 years of experience as a 3GPP RAN1 delegate.
• It is a significant plus if you held the positions of rapporteur or feature lead for work or study items.
• Exposure to 6G research is a plus
• Experience in innovation and IPR is a significant plus.
• Highly motivated with good social skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop efficient AI/ML models and applications for deployment on mobile devices and user equipment.
• Utilize state-of-the-art deep learning architectures like GNN, ResNets, Transformers, and other neural network models, optimizing them for on-device performance.
• Integrate and optimize AI/ML models with mobile device hardware, including GPUs, specialized AI accelerators, and embedded systems.
• Analyze and evaluate the performance of AI/ML models using various datasets and metrics, iterating and refining the models as needed.
Qualifications & experience
• Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Control Theory, or related fields with a strong focus on AI/ML.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet, JAX, and proficiency in programming languages like Python.
• Solid understanding of deep learning architectures, neural network design, and optimization techniques for efficient model deployment.
• Familiarity with mobile device platforms, embedded systems, and hardware acceleration for AI/ML workloads, and knowledge of communication systems like 5G-NR and baseband signal processing algorithms is a strong plus.

We are looking for solution-driven individuals to help bring our next-generation mobile chipsets into mature and optimized states while providing early development platforms for SW development. The applicant will be part of a team creating a framework for Programmers' View Virtual Prototyping, developed in the System C language. The position is in the architecture team in Lund and involves collaboration with architecture, hardware and software departments in China. 
Qualifications& experience 
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar. 
8+years of industry experience or skills in three or more of the following areas:  
System C, 
Programmer’s view prototyping, 
EDA tools such as Synopsys Virtualizer, Platform Architect, (CoWare, VaST Systems acquisitions) or Cadence SoC Designer, 
Excellent skills in C++ or equivalent, 
Thorough understanding of Hardware Architecture Design, and Basic hardware implementation experience. 
Experience in the fields of system design or implementation of Layer 1 or Layer 2 functionality, including 4G or 5G standards, is considered a merit. 
Strong communication skills, both written and verbally. Fluent in English. 
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead technical projects. 
Work in multi-functional and cross-site groups. 
Aptitude and ability to learn new things.
