We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to join our successful team. The chosen candidate will work in our Project Centre CE&D (Cheese, Evaporators and Dryers). You will be responsible to manage the integration of all site-based activities during the Installation of our commercial customer projects, leading a professional and dedicated team, overseeing the entire installation process, ensuring project completion within time, budget and quality, while also maintaining a strong customer relationship. You will work in a dynamic project environment delivering large and complex commercial projects to customers with cross-functional engineering teams.
The position is based within Europe. You will travel extensively (up to 80%) across Europe to customer sites in the Cheese, Evaporators and Dryer sectors.
What you will do
As a Site Manager, you will:
Provide Site leadership to deliver project results with responsibility for site activities, including planning and follow-up of daily activities at the installation site, working with a cross-functional team of highly committed colleagues from Tetra Pak as well as from customer and third-party suppliers.
Manage and take responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety site activities covered by the scope of the project; mental well-being, heavy lifting, working at height, hot works, etc.
Communication and co-ordination of site activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and monitor project plans on Quality, Time and Cost for site activities.
Support and review pre-project activities from a site perspective during the Sales phase.
Drive improvement or development of processes and tools around Site Management.
Coach and mentor future colleagues within site management

Appropriate level of educational background to align with the job need, together with a proven track record.
More than 5+ years of experience in leading installation activities with commissioning management experience being advantageous.
Proven ability to interact and challenge the customer and/or their building contractor regarding building completion schedule and readiness, to ensure alignment with the contractual obligations.
You demonstrate leadership, communication, technical negotiation and change management skills and the capability to maneuver through complex situations effectively.
Excitement in navigating large installation projects on customer sites.
Positive and strong leadership and an organized way of working and delivering under time and pressure.

You are self-driven, decisive, highly motivated and independent in your work.

We are now looking for two Instrument Installation Package Leaders, who will be part of a completely new team at ESS. This team will manage the on-site installation of components for the neutron scattering instruments.

About you:

As the successful candidate you might have a degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or similar relevant technical area, in combination with several years of solid working experience from those areas, for example as a construction crew supervisor. It is an advantage if you have dealt with installation work in a scientific or technical facility.

You have leadership experience and enjoy interacting with colleagues and contractors from different backgrounds, as well as with In-kind partners, in an international context.

As a person you take initiative and work proactively, and have the ability to make decisions, in alignment with rules and regulations. 

You are used to working in Microsoft Office and also Enovia and CATIA, or similar systems.

Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement, as it is the working language at ESS. Knowledge in Swedish, German and/or French is an advantage.

In the future, this position may require some shift work.

This is a permanent position.

The Machine Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) invites applications for a Detector Electronics Technician position at the ESS headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

About the group:


The Detector Group is part of the Neutron Scattering Systems (NSS) Project Division under the Machine Directorate. Our Division provides the design, construction and operation of the neutron instruments at the ESS. The Detector Group routinely collaborates with partners worldwide to provide novel neutron detectors to the NSS, meeting challenging requirements with diverse technologies, many adopted from other disciplines.

About the role:

This position provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to make a tangible contribution to the creation of a world-class research facility. Ideally, you are an accomplished detector electronics technician, with experience in the construction, commissioning, testing, installation, integration and operation of electronics, racks, and data acquisition systems. Experience with the types of neutron detectors to be deployed at the ESS instruments is a plus. 

You will provide expertise to the detector build teams and will work closely with other members of the Detector Services Section. While the main working space will be the detector facility (Utgård), tasks will need to be performed at the Source Facility (at close by Lund University).

Utgård is a workshop equipped to the highest standards to be utilized for realizing next- generation neutron detector technologies. The Source Facility allows for prototypes to be subjected to well-controlled fields of radiation You may be required to visit collaborating partners and neutron centres worldwide, as necessary.

About you:


We are looking for a self-motivated individual with demonstrable experience in building electronics for detector demonstrators (ideally for neutrons) or similar devices including practical experience in technical workshops. In particular, you possess the following knowledge, skills and competences:


• A bachelor degree in electronics, physics, or electronic engineering with relevant work experience.
• Experience working in an international research environment will be considered a plus.
• Detailed knowledge of detector front-end electronics and data acquisition as well as a demonstrated record of the construction, commissioning, testing, installation, integration and operation of such equipment.
• A strong understanding of grounding issues at accelerator facilities and experience with suppressing sources of electronic noise.
• Very good oral and written English skills. A knowledge of other European languages would be advantageous.
• Strong computing and programming (C++ and/or Python) skills will be considered a plus.
• A willingness to travel.

Erfarenhet

Du har goda tekniska kunskaper från en installationsutbildning inom exempelvis VVS, El, Vent eller Vatten - gärna högskola alternativt att du erhållit motsvarande kunskaper genom arbetslivserfarenhet. Har du i tillägg till detta någon form av påbyggnadsutbilding ses det som meriterande.

Du har ett par års erfarenhet från att ha produktionslett installationsentreprenader, är väl bekant med installations-/byggprocessen, samt att du har erfarenhet från projektering och samordning av installationsentreprenader.
