At ISLK we follow the MYP curriculum with an inclusive approach to learning diversity and needs. You will be part of the Learning Support Team working with the teachers to remove barriers for learning through differentiation, extra adaptations and special support. Your role will be to complement the subject teachers through working with students (approx. age 11-16 yrs) in need of additional support. The work will be carried out through short term intervention with individuals and groups of students both in and outside the normal classroom setting as well as with teachers and the learning support team enhancing the learning environment. Your work will entail assessing students prior knowledge and skills, set individual student goals and develop a plan for as well as evaluating and documenting progress. You may also be asked to make pedagogical investigations and set up individual education plans in collaboration with the teachers, parents and the learning support team. You will work in close collaboration with the MYP Learning Support coordinator and the MYP teachers team.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Trained, certified and experienced middle years teacher.
Trained learning support teacher or qualifications and experience as a specialist teacher for students with learning support needs (special educational needs) is highly desirable.
Excellent collaborative, organizational and communication skills and an understanding of inclusion and inclusive practices including relational education.
Experience of working in a multi-cultural and multilingual setting is preferable.
Knowledge and experience of the IB and the middle years programme is preferable.
Excellent level of English which is the language of instruction at the school.

Work as a Fritidspedagogue in the ISLK After School Programme (ASP) planning for and carrying out activitities for children aged 5 to 12, in the afternoons and during breaks. Work in close collaboration with the ASP team members and the ASP coordinator. At ISLK there is a large focus on social and emotional learning, physical activity and creativity within the After school Programme.
During school hours work with support in the primary years PHE-lessons, guided by and in close collaboration with the teacher. Person applying need to be interested in working with physical education and learning support.
