About the position
We are now looking for a highly motivated analytical chemist with some experience and interest in ADME and bioanalysis.
What you will do
The work is largely lab-based. Main analytical techniques are liquid chromatography (LC) and mass spectrometry (MS). Typical tasks involve:
· Performance of:
o physicochemical and ADME assays (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism & Excretion)
o Bioanalysis of primarily small molecules and peptides
· Delivery of data and reports to support drug discovery projects
· Communication with clients and team members – often in global and multi-disciplinary settings
· Install, maintain, repair and upgrade analytical and laboratory equipment
What we look for
Must have
· Minimum education: MSc in chemistry with focus on analytical chemistry
· Minimum 1-2 years of industrial experience – preferably from biotech or pharma
· A structured way of working and ability to make document experiments and results in writing.
· Confidence with communication in English, preferably also in Swedish.
· An ability to build and maintain trustworthy interactions with colleagues and clients.
· A desire for delivering results while working with deadlines.
Meritorious
· Working knowledge of ADME and bioanalysis
· Working knowledge with LC and/or MS. To succeed in the role, you will need to be able to operate independently as well as part of a team.

About the position
We are now looking for an experienced peptide chemist. You will play an important role in our peptide chemistry team and contribute with your knowledge around peptide synthesis and design. You are expected to add peptide chemistry expertise and leadership skills to the team and provide scientific mentoring and technical training of other team members.
What you do
You will predominantly work in the lab as a peptide chemist and become a part of a team that delivers peptides, peptidomimetics, data, and results in various drug discovery projects to clients. We hope that you also will help to develop our peptide skills further so we better can match the current and future needs from our clients. You will work with co-workers, partners, and clients in various projects –often in global and multi-disciplinary settings.

Qualification requirements:
You have at least five years of peptide synthesis experience combined with a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in relevant field. In-depth understanding of current peptide chemistry synthesis and analysis methods is required.
A strong working knowledge of key components and processes in drug discovery is highly advantageous.Experience from peptide synthesis in the pharmaceutical industry is considered very valuable.
You are confident in written and oral communication in English and can maintain dynamic interactions both internally and with external partners to ensure synthetic and data needs are fulfilled according to agreed timelines and standards.

About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated chemist to strengthen and complement our current purification capabilities. At Red Glead Discovery, you will have the possibility to play a vital role in the development next generation of small molecule and peptide drug candidates. You will contribute with your scientific and technical competence to help our chemists drive the progress of our multidisciplinary projects. What you do
You will plan, perform, and oversee purification and analysis of small molecules and peptides on a milligram to gram scale. You are expected to operate and maintain the department’s analytical and preparative HPLC instruments. You will handle first line support and troubleshooting of our HPLC and MS instruments. In the position, you will work with co-workers, partners, and clients in drug discovery projects – often in global and multi-disciplinary settings.
You will contribute to the development of our separation and analytical technologies and promote utilizing modern technology and instruments such as automated purification systems to increase output and deliverables to our clients.

What you need
You have minimum 2 years of industrial experience in purification of organic compounds or peptides combined with a university degree in organic or analytical chemistry. Strong practical skills in preparative HPLC are required as well as good understanding of HPLC and MS instruments. Experience with supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) is beneficial.
Working knowledge of modern analytical and separation methods in organic and peptide chemistry. Experience of separation of enantiomers and diastereomers is highly advantageous.
You are confident in written and oral communication in English and can build and maintain trustworthy interactions with colleagues and clients to be able to deliver according to agreed timelines and standards.

Arbetsuppgifter
Som övergripande ansvarig för ekonomin och del av ledningsgruppen ser vi dig som central i att överse och driva bolagets utveckling och tillväxt. Detta behövs för att lyckas i rollen:

Red Glead Discovery is a preclinical drug development company located at Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden. We deliver medicinal chemistry, synthesis of small molecules and peptides, analytical chemistry, ADME, bioanalysis, computational chemistry, and in vitro biology services to clients within the Life Science sector.
The peptide chemistry team is currently a group of seven people. We work in a fit for purpose peptide lab with a state-of-the-art machine park including, four automatic peptide synthesizers (two microwave assisted, one conventionally heated, and one parallel (48 reactors) synthesizer), preparative and analytical HPLCs, LC-MS, automated flash chromatography, and more.
We are now looking for an experienced peptide chemist to join the peptide chemistry team. This is a permanent position. A probationary period of 6 months may apply.
What You Will Do / Job Description:
The work is largely lab-based. Typical tasks involve:
• Automated peptide synthesis on solid support
• Peptide synthesis in solution
• Purification and analysis of peptides and peptide conjugates
• Design of peptides in drug discovery programs
• Communication with clients and team members – often in global and multi-disciplinary settings
Qualification requirements:
• Minimum education: MSc in chemistry with focus on Peptide chemistry
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience
• In-depth knowledge of current peptide chemistry synthesis techniques
• Working knowledge of automated peptide synthesizers, HPLC and/or LC-MS
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Computer skills incl. extracting useful data from scientific & technical literature and databases.
To succeed in the role, you will need to be able to operate independently as well as part of a team. The role requires a structured way of working to meet timelines and to secure detailed documentation. It is highly advantageous for the position if you have project management skills.
