About the position
We are now looking for a highly motivated synthetic organic chemist to strengthen and complement our medicinal chemistry capabilities. At Red Glead Discovery, you will have the possibility to play a vital role in a creative and collaborative multidisciplinary company. You will contribute with your scientific and technical competence from project inception to the delivery of clinical candidates. What you will do
You will work as an organic/medicinal chemist in laboratory environment and become a part of a team that delivers chemistry and/or drug discovery to our clients.
We expect that you can add chemistry expertise to the team. You will work with co-workers, partners, and clients in drug discovery projects – often in global and multi-disciplinary settings.

You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry combined with a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in organic/medicinal chemistry or equivalent.

Work duties
Responsible for research tasks in a project dealing with the development of biobased isocyanate-free polyurethanes and BPA-free polycarbonates.
Synthesis and characterization of polymers by different methods, analyzing their spectroscopic and physico-chemical characteristics
Formulation and processing (e.g. extrusion, molding, casting, etc.) of those thermoset- and thermo-plastics
Take an active role in collaboration with other parties in the project
Write scientific articles and reports


Qualification requirements
Applicants must have:
· Doctoral degree in the subjects of polymer science, material science, organic chemistry, or a related discipline.

We are now looking for an experienced peptide chemist. You will play an important role in our peptide chemistry team and contribute with your knowledge around peptide synthesis and design. You are expected to add peptide chemistry expertise and leadership skills to the team and provide scientific mentoring and technical training of other team members.

You will predominantly work in the lab as a peptide chemist and become a part of a team that delivers peptides, peptidomimetics, data, and results in various drug discovery projects to clients. Seniorprofessorn skall verka som Senior Strategisk Rådgivare till MAX IV-laboratoriets Direktör i frågor som rör strategisk planering kring MAX IV-laboratoriets utveckling, och främja kontakter på ledningsnivå med svenska universitet och andra huvudsakliga intressenter. Know-how about UV curable technology and competence within “structure-properties” relations, e.g. which raw materials are needed for achieving a certain physical property in the final product
Strong orientation for process and procedures across lab testing as well as project management, complaint handling, etc.

Kvalifikationer
Krav:
Doktorsexamen i syntetisk kemi.

Mycket goda kunskaper i organisk syntes och metallorganisk kemi. Erfarenhet av att arbeta med trycksatta autoklaver. Dokumenterad erfarenhet av att arbeta självständigt och ta eget ansvar för projektet, dvs flerårig postdoktoral erfarenhet.
