About the position
We are now looking for a highly motivated synthetic organic chemist to strengthen and complement our medicinal chemistry capabilities. At Red Glead Discovery, you will have the possibility to play a vital role in a creative and collaborative multidisciplinary company. You will contribute with your scientific and technical competence from project inception to the delivery of clinical candidates. You will also have the chance to participate in developing the company and to help us match the current and future needs of our clients.
What you will do
You will work as an organic/medicinal chemist in laboratory environment and become a part of a team that delivers chemistry and/or drug discovery to our clients.
We expect that you can add chemistry expertise to the team. You will work with co-workers, partners, and clients in drug discovery projects – often in global and multi-disciplinary settings.
What we look for
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry combined with a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in organic/medicinal chemistry or equivalent.
A working knowledge of modern methods in synthetic organic chemistry is required.
Confidence with communication in English.
An ability to build and maintain trustworthy interactions with colleagues and clients.
A desire to deliver results while working with deadlines.

A strong understanding of key components and processes in drug discovery.
A good knowledge of compound design based on structure-activity/property-relationships.
Knowledge of how to interpret DMPK data and to use it to design new targets from that data.

Researcher in polymer chemistry and processing
Cyclicor AB is a spin off company based on the innovative technology from Lund University, Lund, Sweden. The researcher position is placed in Cyclicor AB, and the work will be conducted at the Division of Biotechnology, Department of Chemistry, Lund University within a collaborative project between academia and industry funded by MISTRA Innovation (The Swedish foundation for strategic environmental research). The project will be focused on the production, formulation and processing development of bio-based plastics, especially, biobased isocyanate-free polyurethanes and BPA-free polycarbonates. And, the Division runs several multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with industrial partners, involving the development of processes for transformation of renewable resources into chemical building blocks for sustainable chemicals and plastics suited for circular economy.
Work duties
Responsible for research tasks in a project dealing with the development of biobased isocyanate-free polyurethanes and BPA-free polycarbonates.
Synthesis and characterization of polymers by different methods, analyzing their spectroscopic and physico-chemical characteristics
Formulation and processing (e.g. extrusion, molding, casting, etc.) of those thermoset- and thermo-plastics
Take an active role in collaboration with other parties in the project
Write scientific articles and reports


Qualification requirements
Applicants must have:
· Doctoral degree in the subjects of polymer science, material science, organic chemistry, or a related discipline.
· Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
· Knowledge and background in polymer synthesis, formulation, processing, and / or spectroscopic and physico-chemical characterization, shown in scientific publications.
· Highly motivated and strong ability to conduct research independently but also as part of a research group.

Education in polymer chemistry or organic chemistry.
Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of polymer synthesis, formulation, processing, and characterization
Good skills in planning, design and organization.
Experience of working with industry or working in a company

About the position
We are now looking for an experienced peptide chemist. You will play an important role in our peptide chemistry team and contribute with your knowledge around peptide synthesis and design. You are expected to add peptide chemistry expertise and leadership skills to the team and provide scientific mentoring and technical training of other team members.
What you do
You will predominantly work in the lab as a peptide chemist and become a part of a team that delivers peptides, peptidomimetics, data, and results in various drug discovery projects to clients. We hope that you also will help to develop our peptide skills further so we better can match the current and future needs from our clients. You will work with co-workers, partners, and clients in various projects –often in global and multi-disciplinary settings.

Qualification requirements:
You have at least five years of peptide synthesis experience combined with a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in relevant field. In-depth understanding of current peptide chemistry synthesis and analysis methods is required.
A strong working knowledge of key components and processes in drug discovery is highly advantageous.Experience from peptide synthesis in the pharmaceutical industry is considered very valuable.
You are confident in written and oral communication in English and can maintain dynamic interactions both internally and with external partners to ensure synthetic and data needs are fulfilled according to agreed timelines and standards.

Main Challenges
Work close together with the Production and have an active contribution to the investigation/development of new process technologies that will improve efficiency, quality and cost.

Plan, execute and conclude product development work on assigned projects within the agreed time frame
Navigate in defined project structure with multiple stakeholders to secure efficient project execution
Participate in batch-up and related documentation and contribute to proper description of scale up processes
Act within global regulatory environment and secure sustainable solutions for our customers
Fully complete assigned projects and communicate the results through internal documents, customer trial reports, technical data sheets and presentations

Requirements
A MSc in Organic Chemistry with 3 to 5 years of experience in R&D and Process Technologies (Upscaling & Production), with preference for a PhD in Organic Chemistry
Know-how about UV curable technology and competence within “structure-properties” relations, e.g. which raw materials are needed for achieving a certain physical property in the final product
Strong orientation for process and procedures across lab testing as well as project management, complaint handling, etc.
