About the job

R&D EVP METS

På utvecklingsavdelningen METS på Extended Video Products har vi helhetsansvaret, från idé till volymproduktion, för utvecklingen av några av Axis mest spännande produkter exempelvis explosion protected-produkter, värmekameror och specialanpassade kameror. Arbetet sker i projektform där medarbetare från många olika discipliner ingår: mekanik, elektronik, mjukvara, industridesign, produktionsteknik med mera. Vår avdelning har en blandning av juniora och seniora medarbetare som arbetar tillsammans och lär av varandra i ett öppet hjälpande klimat.

EXPLOSION PROTECED TEAM
Teamet är en nystartad R&D-grupp med ansvar för utveckling av Axis Explosion Protected-produkter. Teamet är under uppbyggnad och kommer innehålla mekanik- och elektronikkonstruktörer samt mjukvaruutvecklare. Redan idag har vi ett litet team på plats som påbörjat denna spännande resa med att utveckla ett nytt produktområde.

I Core Technologies Media söker vi nu en framtida specialist inom videoområdet.

Technologiutveckling är det första steget inom Axis produktutveckling. Vi siktar på att förstå och influera våra slutanvändare så vi kan förse övrig produktorganisation med kompetens och teknologier. Dessa teknologier ska fungera som grund i Axis framtida produkter och lösningar.

Arbetsbeskrivning
Som specialist inom video kommer du vara av en viktig del av teamet som har som uppgift att utveckla vår videoplattform. Du kommer stötta både linjechef och projektledare i tekniska frågor samt vara del av både utvecklingsprojekt och strategiskt arbete.
För att utföra arbetet krävs goda tekniska kunskaper inom hårdvarunära mjukvaruutveckling samt god samarbetsförmåga då arbetet oftast utförs tillsammans med andra utvecklingsteam.

Exempel på områden som kommer ingå i arbetet

* Utreda och definiera krav för framtida hårdvaruplattformar
* Förstå och testa nya video teknologier
* Designa, utveckla och leverera mjukvara för befintliga eller framtida produkter.

Inom teamet lägger vi stor vikt vid innovation och att leverera värde inom videoområdet. För att lyckas med detta så behöver du inte bara vara en duktig utvecklare, du ska också vara beredd att bygga både bred och djup kunskap inom området, lära om våra produkter och lösningar samt bygga en förståelse av våra kunder.

Kvalifikationer
Vi är intresserade av dig som ha flera års erfarenhet inom R&D och embedded mjukvaruutveckling, kanske inom video- eller streamingområdet. Du har en god förståelse av hur man behåller hög kodkvalitet bland annat genom erfarenhet inom granskning, test-strategier, säkerhet, integration och leveransarbete

Du ska ha en förståelse hur man bedriver strategiskt arbete samt tidigare erfarenheter av research liknande arbete där fördjupat sig i något specifikt område. Du ska kunna initierat och tekniskt stötta större utvecklings projekt som tekniskt ledare.

Du har tidigare arbetat i projekt och ha god förståelse hur man bedriver projekt och tidigare erfarenheter av processförbättringar.

Krav på tekniska kvalifikationer

* Inbyggda system i en Linux utvecklingsmiljö
* Versionshanteringsverktyg, så som Git eller motsvarande
* Goda kunskaper inom C/C++ och Python programmering
* Erfarenhet av hårdvarunära kodutveckling
* Civilingenjör/Master examen inom dator teknik, fysik, elektroingenjör eller motsvarande

Det är meriterande om du har erfarenhet inom bild eller videoområdet, tex video kodning (encoding/decoding) såsom MJPEG, H.264/H.265 och även framtida kodningsstandarder såsom VVC, AV1 och/eller media streaming RTSP/RTP, TCP/UDP/IP protokoll/ramverk.

Vi letar efter en person som har en vilja att arbeta i team men du ska även kunna arbeta ensam. Du är nyfiken, tekniskt intresserad och öppen. Du har god analytisk förmåga att förstå komplexa frågeställningar och processer. Du ska ha förmågan att se helheten, se samband och förmåga att tekniskt fördjupa dig.

The team is growing and we need to reinforce with a new manager
As Engineering Manager in the ASIC department you will be leading a highly skilled and experienced team of about 15 to 20 colleagues, still growing. Each team has its own responsibilities, but we are also cooperating very much between the ASIC teams and with other teams at AXIS.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

The ASIC Department
The department is responsible for ASIC design of the ARTPEC™ (AXIS RealTime Picture Encoder). ARTPEC™ are the Application Processors for AXIS products. We are responsible for system, synthesis, design, verification, technology evaluation, low power design, floorplan, selection of ASIC and IP partners.

We have a long history of designing ASICs, the first ASIC was developed in the late 80s. We have developed a highly sophisticated ASIC development environment which is in many ways leading edge in the world. We file patents and publish papers and get invitations to present them at EDA and other conferences.

We are in the forefront of technology nodes and stretching performance and power requirements in our designs.

Vi söker en driftschef till Bibliotek & IKT med uppdraget att målinriktat leda och utveckla verksamheten för avdelningen inom stöd till verksamhetsnära IT-stöd. Tjänsten är direkt underställd enhetschefen vid Bibliotek & IKT och innehavaren, tillsammans med driftschefen för forsknings- och lärandestöd kommer att ingå i stödverksamhetens ledningsgrupp. Vår strävan efter att erbjuda lättillgänglig, kommunicerande och relevant stöd ställer höga krav på samförståelse och god kommunikation mellan enhetens avdelningar.

Arbetsuppgifter

- Du leder och utvecklar avdelningen tillsamman med avdelningens medarbetare så att verksamheten bedrivs så effektivt som möjligt. Avdelningen hanterar många varierade arbetsuppgifter och du leder arbetet med hjälp av enhetens tjänstekatalog, rollbeskrivningar och arbetsbeskrivningar.

För anställningen krävs att
