We are now looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to join our team at our head quarter in Lund, Sweden.

Who is your future team?
We are a high performing diverse team consisting of twelve skilled persons with different age, gender, nationality, knowledge, and background. The combination makes us strong and adds flavor and joy to our workplace. The Trade Compliance organization is a global function which is divided into Export Compliance and Customs Compliance.

The Export Compliance team secures that Axis complies with export control regulations worldwide and that our high-tech products, components and technology are not supplied to restricted countries, parties, or users. This highly specialized team consists of a team lead and three co-workers.

The Customs Compliance team secures that import and export activities are performed in a compliant and efficient manner while striving to minimize customs duty costs. This team consists of eight co-workers with different roles.

Some persons in the team do the import and export declarations for our Swedish flow of goods. Some persons supervise that we through our customs brokers in the countries where we have warehouses (e.g. HU, CZ, PL, US) operate in a compliant and efficient manner and some persons focus more on process development activities. The Trade Compliance organization is part of the Global Supply Chain team which also responsible for Planning, Material Supply, Fulfillment and Reveres Supply Chain.

What you will do as Trade Compliance Manager
You will lead and develop the Trade Compliance function (business & people) and enable the individual team members to thrive with the objective to secure that export control, import and export activities are performed in a compliant and efficient manner. You will work closely with a lot of internal and external stakeholders such as Sales, Sourcing, Material Supply, Purchase, Fulfilment, Logistics, R&D, Legal, Distribution, Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Chamber of Commerce, Customs Authorities and Inspection for Strategic Products (ISP).

As a Trade Compliance Manager, you will be involved in/accountable for:

* Compliance of EU and US Export Control legislations, embargoes, and sanctions
* ECCN classification of products, under both EU and US legislation
* Import and export activities
* HS classification of products and BTI (Binding Tariff Information) applications
* Country of Origin determination of products
* Trade Compliance knowledge dissemination, root cause analysis and problem solving activities
* Improvement activities related to Trade Compliance processes, tools and ways of working (Identification, driving and/or supporting process improvements)
* Cross functional projects
* Lead meetings and present information in smaller and larger groups
* Manage the day to day coordination of the Customs Compliance team (the day to day coordination of the Export Compliance team is managed by the team lead)

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

* Education within Export Compliance, Customs and International Trade
* Minimum five years' experience working with Trade Compliance in an international organization
* Proven track record of successfully leading business & people
* Fluent in English, both written and verbally
* Preferably good knowledge in Excel, Access, and Macro
* Preferably experience working with a Trade Compliance IT system and a Customs Administration IT System
* Preferably project leader experience

We are creating a new organization with the aim to put a well-defined and standardized global Customs & Import operating model in place across all relevant dimensions, from compliance, customer service, operational efficiency to leveraging free-trade agreements and customs costs.
We are now looking for a professional Customs Management Business Partner who will drive and implement import and export processes excellence and best practices, enforce global guidance and standards and be responsible to monitoring regional risk and regulatory developments. The responsibility in the position involves identifying local, regional, and global trends and opportunities that impact our organization. You will work directly with global and regional teams to gather requirements from businesses and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
The location is flexible, and you could be based in any Tetra Pak office globally, but the preferred location would be within CET time zone proximity. This is a permanent position, and we expect 30-50% travelling.
What you will do
As Customs Management Business Partner, you will:
Work close under regular basis with our legal entities and other Tetra Pak entities responsible for trade flows
Key speaking partner for the business in terms of tactical and strategic customs topics and interacting with key businesses stakeholders to increase awareness of customs
Early involvement in any project that could change flow of goods, trade flow etc. and/or any activity that could impact customs (opportunities, challenges, change in duty cost etc.)
Regular performance updates in regard to customs (clearance time, delays etc.)
Keep the management team updated with customs regulatory changes and specific KPIs
Being an expert in knowing how specific customs related actions can be implemented for businesses and represent each business specific needs in the customs organization
Representing each business specific needs during the implementation and design of the organization
Responsible to monitoring regional risk and regulatory developments
Support the implementation of the new organization – import and export
Develop a deep understanding of the business strategy to ensure that the role delivers aligned solutions regarding customs management and compliance

We believe you have
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field
At least 5 years of experience from working as a Business Partner
Experience from working in Power BI
An innovation mindset and a drive to find solutions and opportunities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to identify and communicate key issues for resolution
Strong collaboration and conflict management skills
Fluent in English is required
