We are now looking for a Group Compliance Manager to join our headquarters in Lund!
About the job
As Group Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for driving and managing the compliance agenda for Alfa Laval. This agenda includes securing efficient compliance programs throughout the Alfa Laval Group, with the areas of export control and trade sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, competition law and data privacy, as a specific focus. In this role, you will work with the Alfa Laval Group entities and functions in coordinating and driving business compliance within Alfa Laval Group.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• To work proactively to drive and manage policy enforcement and program planning, in order to maintain regulatory and corporate compliance and to support the ethical integrity of the company;
• To identify compliance risks and independently develop, implement and maintain improvements and new procedures in the Alfa Laval Compliance & Ethics Program and related processes;
• To monitor legislative and regulatory developments;
• To provide support and advice to Alfa Laval entities and functions, including the top management of the Alfa Laval Group;
• To manage the group policies related to primary compliance areas, and to work with Alfa Laval entities and functions to optimize corporate compliance and business processes;
• To raise awareness, and to develop and provide internal training; and
• To manage external advisers.
You will report to the group function manager of Group Legal & Compliance (currently 24 members) at our headquarters in Lund, Sweden. You will be the people manager of the Group Compliance part of this function with a team of four others: Group Export Control & Sanctions Manager, Export Control Manager, Group Data Privacy Responsible, and Legal Counsel Data Privacy.
The role involves international travel.
What we are looking for
You have a Swedish LL.M. degree, or the European equivalent, and you have broad and significant experience from compliance work preferably in an international group of companies. In addition, we also expect you to have substantial experience in at least one of the following areas: export control and trade sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, competition law and data privacy. Previous experience as a people manager would also be considered advantageous.
You have excellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing.
You have a strong commercial understanding and you pro-actively take initiatives to contribute your expertise to impact the business. You have a high level of integrity, and you are confident in your competence and the value you bring as a business partner, but you also possess a curiosity to learn and take on new challenges in this dynamic role. You have an ability to work independently and find legally adequate solutions to various situations. You can quickly analyze complex information and communicate the same in a simplified way with a clear advice to enhance decision-making. You are flexible and adapt positively to change, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are a natural leader and motivator of people. You are a positive and engaged team player and you are not afraid to deliver and dig in where necessary. We expect you to be driven and a person able to prioritize.
