As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of embedded software solutions for our innovative technological systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement embedded software solutions for technological systems in the food and plant industry.
Collaborate with hardware engineers and other cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
Develop and maintain firmware for embedded systems, including microcontrollers and DSPs.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability.
Optimise software performance and memory usage for embedded platforms.
Develop and maintain software documentation, including design documents, specifications, and test plans.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded software development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Extensive experience in embedded software development, with a focus on real-time operating systems (RTOS), bare-metal programming, and low-level device drivers.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
Experience with embedded development tools and IDEs, such as Keil, IAR Embedded Workbench, or Eclipse.
Knowledge of communication protocols commonly used in embedded systems, such as SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN.
Familiarity with hardware design concepts and schematics.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Lund for a Field Services Engineer. The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of OptiCept’s equipment at customer sites. The Field Services Engineer will also provide technical support and customer service to ensure the proper functioning of OptiCept’s equipment.
Responsibilities
Understanding our customer’s manufacturing process
Come up with solutions to our customer’s problems
Commissioning of installations (performance optimization and test)
Training and supporting our installation partners and distributors
Project Management of application development projects
Drive equipment requirements towards R&D
Test new designs of CEPT and VI equipment
Specify and/or develop PLC software
Support Business Development with customer process knowledge
Negotiate with and manage suppliers for installations

Qualifications
You will be traveling in Sweden and Europe (Mediterranean area) quite extensively (60-80 days per year). Trips to Asia, the US, Africa, and South America could eventually also be necessary.
You report directly to the Director of Process Engineering & Service Support and will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain & R&D as well as with our Distributors.

We have found that the most important qualifications are good basic technical knowledge and a curious mind that is willing to learn and go the extra mile.
We are looking for a person with a university degree, preferably a master’s degree, in food processing, microbiology, automation, or another relevant subject.
We prefer that you have a few years of experience in food processing and are used to working directly with customers in the field, but recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
Attitude is more important than experience. No previous experience of CEPT or VI treatment is expected, you will receive training in this.
Our CEPT and VI are controlled by a Siemens PLC and is often integrated with the customer’s SCADA system. Experience with PLC control is important and you can specify to developers how control and integrations should be programmed. Even better if you can program in the Siemens TiA portal.
You speak and write English at a near fluency level. Proficiency in other languages such as Spanish is meriting.

We are a growing company with the world as our market. Our products ship to far away destinations such Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. Where they are installed and maintained by our partners or our technicians, but first the products need to get there. Transportation, customs, and the various processes involved can be challenging and requires knowledge and experience. To improve our capacity, we are looking for a specialist in this field. You will also manage our spare parts store and manage the relationship towards our shipping suppliers, as well as help out with parts ordering.
Responsibilities
Manage inbound and outbound transportation with associated customs processes and documents.
Assist and advice our sales staff when agreeing on delivery terms.
Negotiate transportation purchases and manage our transportation supplier relationships.
Place purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.

To qualify for the role, it is required that you are familiar with several of below areas:
A master’s degree in computer science or equal
4+ years of experience with embedded SoC development environments
Strong coding skills in C, C++
Experience from embedded environments

Comfortable with configuration management, version control and modern software development flows (e.g., Agile)
Fluency in spoken and written English
Work and residence permit for Sweden valid during 2022 and 2023
