The Technical Curriculum Developer Role
As a Frontend Software Developer at Qlik, you’ll be creating intuitive, elegant user interfaces that help people see and understand their data more clearly. Data Engineer

Cloud Developer (Full-Stack)

Release Manager
In this role you will act as a spider in a web with plenty of growth opportunities in the areas of reliable release strategies and bleeding-edge technology and tooling. You will be Qlik’s subject matter expert for release processes and you will also have huge possibilities to impact our releases to make sure they are of good quality. The Test & Release Coordination team is a team with a high level of trust and teamwork for result mentality, which will give you the room to self-organize and collaborate with peers instead of being micro-managed. As our new colleague, you would join a proud and high-functioning team where collaboration and caring for each other is core.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Lead and facilitate a virtual team of Release Managers in development teams to ensure products are released with quality and according to process.
Onboarding Release Managers and other Qlik employees to our release strategies and policies.
Secure release readiness of artifacts, in tight collaboration with the development team and Test Coordinator/Test Lead
Support with release builds, release tagging, release notes, facilitate release decision meetings, distribution of release artifacts (for example releasing to App Store or Google Play), bug triage, data analysis etc.
Support with hands-on operational release management to our SaaS offerings.
Communicate effectively with all release stakeholders, both within and outside of R&D. Be prepared to escalate issues and risks when appropriate.
Drive and own the release process and overall ways of working for all releases within Qlik. Conduct frequent retrospects and drive continuous improvements.
Document the process and ways of working.


Competencies and skills:

+8 years of experience in software development, preferably in different phases (e.g. planning, development, testing, release)


Experience & Qualifications

How you will spend your time as our next C++ Developer
In your role as C++ Developer, you will be part of the team that develops Qlik’s Distributed Computation Engine. You will participate in the full software development cycle, so you will do SW analysis & design of new features, C++ implementation, implementation of automated test cases, and bug-fixing of the implementation. You will have an opportunity to work closely with our senior architects, developers and product management team in order to identify the right architecture and design for your implementation.

How you will spend your time as our next Full Stack Developer
In your role, you will be working with the full stack software development of our client applications (using mostly C++). You will be part of the entire software development cycle, starting with requirements analysis and ending with delivery and maintenance. As we expect you to contribute across the entire software stack, you will take lead on our frontend development (AngularJS, React) and interaction with Product and UX designers.
We work according to the classic Agile methodologies, where we value dynamic and light ways of working with focus on the code deliverables and frequent software updates to our customers.

Role & Responsibilities
• Participate in the development of QlikSense native client applications
• Understand new product requirements and translate them into design
• Employ Agile development practices and ways of working
• Believe in Zero Defect development and practice it (Quality First)
• Contribute to the happiness of our customers
• Play an active role in improving of how we work
• Engage in Qlik’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities
Required Skills and Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• At least 2 years of frontend development experience (e.g. Angular, React)
• At least 2 years of well-demonstrated software development experience in C++
• Experience of working with mobile development (Android, iOS) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of EMM solutions (e.g. Airwatch, MobileIron) is a plus
• Experience and ability to work in a global multi-cultural environment
