We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and construction of pressure vessels, reactors, and chemical process systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, providing leadership and technical expertise to drive innovation in reactor design and development.
Responsibilities
Participate as a team member and occasionally as the project leader in different Contract Development projects.
Perform structural and strength calculations to ensure that reactor vessels and related systems can withstand operational pressures and mechanical loads.
Create detailed construction drawings and dimensioning using CAD software.

Analyze thermal stresses on reactor components, ensuring integrity under cyclic temperature conditions and preventing failure due to thermal expansion or contraction.

Profile
You should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, or demonstrate equivalent qualifications through professional experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and construction of pressure vessels, reactors, or chemical process systems.
Expertise in structural and thermal simulations using software like ANSYS, ABAQUS, or COMSOL, as well as CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of high-temperature alloys, ceramics, composite materials, and corrosion-resistant coatings.
Familiarity with pressure vessel standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
As a Research Scientist, you will be part of our engaging Research department and the Preclinical team.
The team's main assignment is to characterize different target structures, and antibodies against them, and validate their importance for cancer development and progression. The position as a research scientist will mainly be focused on the targeting of tumor associated myeloid cells.
Qualities such as a large amount of flexibility, problem solving ability, teamworking attitude and understanding of the various biological issues are important to meet the daily challenges and to enjoy and thrive in this position.
Your key responsibilities will primarily involve independently designing, planning, setting up and analyze in vitro/ex vivo assays to evaluate the characteristics and functional activity of immune cell targeting antibodies. Assays to study the effect of antibodies on receptor expressions, cytokine production, ADCC, apoptosis, phagocytosis, receptor internalization, cell proliferation and ligand binding are part of the daily tasks. To this end, methods such as eucaryotic cell culture, isolation of immune cells from mouse and human tissue, advanced multi-color flow cytometry and ELISA based methods are used.
Documentation, information, and communication, both internally and externally, is also part of your work. As we strive to continuously improve and optimize our processes, method development will also be included in the tasks.
Requirements
You have relevant academic education, preferably a PhD in immunology/oncology or equivalent. Experience in setting up cell-based in vitro assays and advanced multi-color flow cytometry is a requirement. Experience from working with antibody-drug conjugates, intracellular signaling, in vivo work and from the industry is additional advantages.
You are proficient in written and spoken English.

Arbetsuppgifterna omfattar genomförande av fermentationsprocesser, samt mikrobiologiska analyser såsom traditionella odlingsmetoder, utvärdering av diversiteten i bakteriesamhällen och artidentifiering med hjälp av Next Generation Sequencing och bioinformatik, men även livsmedelsanalyser för bestämning av till exempel protein, fibrer och antinutrienter. Arbetsuppgifterna inkluderar även laborativ assistans vid undervisning samt samarbete med industripartners.

 

Kvalifikationer
Krav för anställningen är:

- Uttagen examen som Civilingejör i Bioteknik med inriktning mot Livsmedelsteknik, uttagen examen i mastersutbildningen "Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition", uttagen examen i mastersutbildningen ”Bioteknik”, eller motsvarande.
- Mycket god kunskap och praktisk erfarenhet av mikrobiologiska grundmetoder, så som odling och isolering av bakterier.
- Mycket god engelska i tal och skrift.
- Erfarenhet av Next Generation Sequencing och därtill tillhörande bioinformatisk datahantering.

• Experience in phase I studies

• Knowledge in oncology

• Experience in managing multiple project functions both internally and externally

• Experience in managing and meeting time plans and budgets as well as contract negotiations

• Deep knowledge about ICH-GCP and other relevant regulations to conduct clinical trials

Head of R&D 
 
We are seeking a business-minded Head of R&D Operations, that will be responsible for the management of functional, operational, and strategical activities at the OptiCept
 
The Head of R&D is effectively leading the operations along with other functions at OptiCept to deliver the portfolio and to complete in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective way.
 
Develop staff and incorporate leading capabilities and technologies in daily operations to bring the highest quality of products to market in an efficient, safe, and environmentally sound manner.
Work closely with commercial heads to ensure operational alignment with key business needs such as on-site customer events and engagement.

Sound understanding of commercial and business needs
Sound understating of agronomy, plant breeding, logistics, operations, automation, seed physiology, modeling, and planning tools.

Responsibilities
As Clinical Project Manager at Bioinvent, some of your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing and leading all aspects of clinical study projects from study planning to close-out and study report

• Working closely with cross functional teams at Bioinvent (e.g. with manufacturing, pre-clinical, regulatory affairs, clinical    pharmacology)

Qualifications
To be happy and successful in this role we think that you bring the following experience:

• A MSc or PharmD in a life science discipline

• At least 5 years´ work experience as a Clinical Project Manager and/or Clinical Trial Manager, with a minimum of three years  leading a clinical study

• Experience in early phase studies

• Knowledge in oncology

• Experience in managing multiple project functions both internally and externally

• Experience in managing and meeting time plans and budgets as well as contract negotiations

• Deep knowledge about ICH-GCP and other relevant regulations to conduct clinical trials

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Proficiency in MS Office tools

MAX IV is a Swedish national large-scale research laboratory hosted by Lund University. Your team
The Sample Environment and Detector Support (SEDS) team is part of the Beamline Office group at MAX IV.

SEDS is involved in development, installation and maintenance of sample environments that are used at beamlines, as well as give support for detectors. Additional tasks for the SEDS team include the operation of instrumentation and beamline labs and maintain a stock of materials and instrumentation of importance to beamlines. MAX IV are looking for an Research Engineer that will join the SEDS team to take part in its work with a strong focus on sample environments used at MAX IV beamlines.  

Your main work tasks will be

- Plan and partake in the development and installation of sample environments, in collaboration with beamline teams and other support groups at MAX IV.
- Design and implement standards for commissioning and testing of sample environments.
- Take part in the commissioning of sample environments at beamlines.
- Take part in the detailed design and engineering of sample environments, in collaboration with the user community, suppliers, and the MAX IV Engineering group.
- Plan and take part in service and maintenance for the MAX IV sample environment instrumentation.
- Take part in procurements and project supervision.
- Actively work with safety related documentation and procedures relevant to sample environment instrumentation.
- Take part in the operation of the SEDS instrumentation lab and the Beamline workshop.
- Take part in the operation of the SEDS materials and instrumentation pool
- Operate and maintain the SEDS 3D-printing facilities

To be successful in this role you need to have the following qualifications

- Engineering degree, or a PhD in a subject relevant to the position
- Demonstrated experience with the development of sample environments at synchrotron radiation sources
- Experience in managing complex instrumentation projects in all stages: i.e. planning, design, construction, procurement, commissioning, operation & maintenance
- You are interested in interdisciplinary work in collaboration with research groups of very diverse backgrounds as well as engineers and technicians
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Good command of the English language, good communication and team working skills

Below are seen as merits

- Working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD/CAM software
- Working knowledge of script-based software in Python, or similar

About the position
We are looking for a Downstream Bioprocessing Scientist to join our team at the head office in Lund, Sweden. You will be working closely with our Chief Technology Officer in a creative role where your tasks will range from designing and executing lab/pilot experiments to exploring new downstream processing methods. You will be responsible for downstream process conceptualisation, definition of new processes and the development and testing of strategies to improve purity and yield in a cost-efficient way.
Your responsibilities will be:
· Management, design, and lab operation of pilot-scale (3-60 and 1000 L) experiments.
· Presentation and interpretation of results and project outcomes.
· Actively contribute to the improvement of processes and methods, as well as evaluation of the patentability of the results.
· Management of R&D and customer related projects.
· Preparation and review of protocols and Standard Operating Procedures for technology transfers.
· Writing patents and project reports.
Specific responsibilities include developing and enhancing downstream processing of microbial cells and products, extracting and purifying extracellular and intracellular microbial products, and analysing their purity. The position involves managing the laboratories' day-to-day running, data collection, analysis, reporting, and leading and collaborating with other team/s members.
Qualifications
You are an ambitious Scientist with a Ph.D. degree in biochemical engineering, environmental engineering, biotechnology, or related discipline with an emphasis on downstream processing. Industry or industry related experience of 4+ years is necessary. Applicants with MSc and 8+ years of related industry or R&D experience will be also considered.
You have experience of management and design lab operation and leading/participating in projects.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Required lab experience:
· Lab and pilot scale practical engineering experience in optimizing and scaling harvesting of microbial cells (centrifugation, membrane filtration, coagulation, sedimentation, etc.), cell disruption, extraction, and purification technologies of microbial and natural products.
· Strong knowledge and practical experience in separating microbial intracellular and extracellular metabolites products and cellular components, such as lipids, proteins, organic and amino acids, etc. Large-scale separation experience is a significant advantage.
· Experience in softwares like Aspen, SuperPro, SchedulePro, DOE.
Desired experience:
· Bioprocess modelling experience for upscaling and downscaling of industrial processes.
· Large scale or industrial scale experience in downstream bioprocessing and bioproduction.
· Experience in process cost estimation and in statistical experimental design.
· Downstream processing of scl and mcl PHAs (polyhydroxyalkanoates) and/or natural fibers.
· Extraction and purification of the bioplastic, PHA and/or protein hydrolysates.
· Knowledge and practical experience in microbial fermentation technologies.

ESS is now looking for a Cryogenics Engineer organised within the Cryogenic Group in the Technical Directorate. 

The Cryogenics team works alongside other groups in the Accelerator Division to define, design, install, commission and finally operate and maintain the cryogenic systems of the ESS. These efforts extend also to cryogenic need in the Target Division and the Neutron Instruments Division.

Job description 
Your main area of responsibilities as a Cryogenics Engineer will be to:


• Prepare integrated testing of coupled subassemblies of the various cryogenic systems at ESS with special focus on the Accelerator Cryoplant, the cryodistribution and the superconducting linac
• Lead commissioning and acceptance testing of cryogenic refrigerators, cryogenic distribution systems and cryogenic user equipment
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations on integrated cryogenic systems
• Operate and diagnose complex cryogenic system equipment and solve process related issues as they arise
• Analyse and finetune performance of cryoplants’ sub-components e.g. compressors, oil skids, cooling water units, cold machinery, instrumentation etc.
• Monitor and perform adjustments to control functions, parameters and configurations for optimal process control, accuracy, availability and efficiency
• Prepare operation and trouble-shooting descriptions as well as test reports
• Lead the technical specification of a spare compressor and oil system for the Accelerator Cryoplant
• Drive procurement and act subsequently as point of contact for the supplier of the spare compressor and oil system
• Lead the civil, mechanical, electrical and controls integration efforts of the spare compressor and oil system, supported by discipline experts at ESS
• Systematically collect and follow up all required documentation for operation and maintenance of the cryogenic system and collect and draft documentation for preparation of reviews and requirements of interfacing parts of the organisation
• Coordinate emergency response work directives with multiple parties as well as improve guidelines and procedures for safe operations
• Provide periodic and timely reporting, document accurately and comprehensively all interactions and occurrences with respect to the cryogenic systems

You will also support the Cryogenic group leader, engineers and operators and communicate with colleagues, consultants and suppliers to ensure safe and timely commissioning, testing and stable operation of the relevant equipment and processes of the ESS machine. Training and support in procurement and related procedures will be provided.


Qualifications
The successful candidate will be required to have:


• A higher Technical or University degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or other equivalent engineering degree
• A minimum of 5 years experience in design, installation and commissioning of cryogenic plants and components in large research infrastructure facilities or equivalent organisations
• A minimum of 2 years experience in working with pressurized equipment and piping, knowledge of related PED and ISO standards
• A minimum of 2 years experience in working with rotating machinery, particularly compressors and turbo expanders, high performance heat exchangers, typical process plant instrumentation and SCADA
• A minimum of 1 year experience in simulating complex processes with commercially available software like Modelica or equivalent
• Strong analytical and computational skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Further qualifications that we are looking for are:


• Proficiency in reading and understanding Pipes and Instruments Diagrams (P&IDs;) and electrical diagrams
• Proven knowledge in the fields of cryogenics, helium, hydrogen and related standards
• Understanding of controlled function charts and step chains as well as its functionality in PLC code (Siemens STEP7 and TIA)
• Demonstrated ability to formulate, track and report cost and schedule data
• Familiarity AFS 2017:3 and/or equivalent older Swedish ordinances in relation to pressurized equipment and piping are a strong advantage
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software like Navisworks is an advantage

The Separator department is organized within the Business Stream Liquid Food Components within the Business Unit Liquid Food that is responsible for the Dairy, Beverage and Prepared Food Categories within Tetra Pak. The department works cross functional, organizational and geographic with a product that is key in the food industry.  


What you will do
As our new Associated Product Manager, you will be working closely with the Commercial Product Manager in the product portfolio management processes for separators. You will be working in Product Portfolio Management, Product Creation, Product Lifecycle, Supply Management and Customer & Sales Management


Your main responsibilities will be:

·        Capture market needs and translate them into project requirements and business cases

Who you are

What you will do
As our new Manager Extrusion Coating and Surface Treatment you will be part of a team of six people, who are Process, Systems, Specialist and Competence managers. You will be managing a group of 6-8 people. This competence area is key for Tetra Pak in maintaining its cost & quality leadership, as well as in collaborating across our organization in the development of concepts and engineering solutions supporting the company strategy.


You will focus on:
·        Leading development activities related to extrusion, film forming, PE transport and different types of surface treatments
·        You will be leading a DevOps agile team as a Product Owner and you will be a Reviewer for other agile teams
·        You will move your career to an exciting area of equipment industrialization, knowledge building and manufacturing process definition
·        You will manage and coordinate people allocated to different development and life cycle management activities
This position will be in Lund with various international interactions. You will travel around 15% of your time.


Who you are 
We believe that you have an Engineering University degree and at least 7-10 years of proven track record preferably within the same area of technology. Huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter
Vår verksamhet växer och vi har nu behov av att förstärka vår organisation med ett nytt team som främst kommer att arbeta med processutveckling och stöd till produktionen. Teamet kommer att vara en del av vår Manufacturingavdelning och du kommer att rapportera till vår produktionschef.
Initialt kommer teamet främst att ansvara för cellinjeutveckling (CHO celler), processutveckling för cellodling, proteinrening och uppskalning till 1000L produktionsskala. Teamet kan även komma att arbeta med troubleshooting och utredningar.
Du kommer att jobba med såväl interna som externa projekt och arbetet innehåller såväl personalledning, kundkontakt som laborativt arbete (både cellodling och proteinrening). Dokumentation, information och kommunikation, både internt och externt, är en viktig del av ditt arbete.
Profil
Du har en naturvetenskaplig utbildning med fokus på proteinkemi. Du har minst 5 års erfarenhet av utveckling av proteinbaserade läkemedel och arbete enligt GMP. Du har även lång erfarenhet av att leda team med upp till 5 personer.
Du trivs i en miljö där du får arbeta kvalitetsmedvetet, då det i ditt ansvar ligger även att säkerställa arbetet följer relevanta SOPar samt övriga ramar och riktlinjer i verksamheten. Som person är du noggrann, strukturerad och ansvarsfull men samtidigt effektiv, drivande, kreativ och har en förmåga att utveckla och coacha medarbetarna i ditt team.

You will be offered a stimulating and dynamic work environment and will be part of an international and highly qualified team with a lot of passion and work spirit.  You will play an important role in exploring new applications of batch and continuous fermentation test platforms and related methodologies development. In this role, you will leverage your scientific experience working in a laboratory and be the link between the company and the market. Example of tasks you will perform:-      Search for new potential markets for existing products-      Technical support of the company products-      Project coordination with scientists and engineers from third parties-      Develop and validate various analytical protocols for evaluation of biodegradability, toxicity, in-vitro digestibility, aerobic and anaerobic respiration analysis, greenhouse gases emission analysis etc.-      Perform analyses and produce technical reportsQualifications- Experience of working in biotechnology- or chemical engineering related fields- Experience working in the commercial sector of the industry- Experience of working in scientific laboratories- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English- Good experience in writing technical reports or scientific publications Personal profileAs a person you are independent, well organized, curious and have a strong analytical mind. You have the ability to demonstrate good attention to details and have a hands-on approach for solving technical challenges. The position is specifically connected to a three-year research project aiming to develop the next generation of GaN power electronic devices. The project work is done in close collaboration with a European consortium and multiple Swedish partners. You will be part of a team of experts in power electronics, epitaxy, characterization, device fabrication and packaging. As a researcher in this project your main tasks will be to analyze and contribute to synthesis of GaN structures based on nanowire technology. Your work will include planning experimental work, carrying out clean-room processing, structural characterization, electrical characterization, epitaxy, evaluation of results and dissemination.We offer a fixed-period employment of 30 months placed in Lund with frequent travel to Linköping. Possibility of permanent employment after the fixed project periodWho are you?We think you have a strong research background and hold a Ph.D. in physics, materials technology or equivalent. You are an expert in semiconductor materials and processing.
