We are now looking for an Equipment Compliance Engineer for a project in Lund, Sweden. About the Role:
As an Equipment Compliance Engineer, you will support the pre-installation equipment acceptance process by ensuring that equipment and components destined for the facility comply with relevant EU directives and standards. You will work closely with a small team to assess documentation, support CE-marking activities and contribute to quality control processes.
Key responsibilities:
CE-Marking Support: Ensure correct CE-marking processes are followed and all associated documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
Technical Documentation: Review and process technical documentation related to compliance and equipment approval as well as contribute to structured document management.
Quality Control Support: Participate in quality control and assurance (QC/QA) activities during the equipment acceptance phase, including documentation review and inspection follow-up.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work through compliance and documentation with suppliers and internal teams, and actively follow up to ensure timely progress and alignment with project deadlines.

What We’re Looking For:
Education: Higher technical or university degree in engineering or a closely related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in leading/handling equipment compliance assessments and CE-marking of complex equipment or similar comparable tasks. Experience from motion control or ATEX (2014/34/EU) issues and experience in scientific or technical construction projects is deemed as an asset.
Proven knowledge in relevant EU directives and standards such as, but not limited to: Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU), and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2014/30/EU).
Language Skills: Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Additional languages are a plus.

About the Role
As a Radiation Safety Engineer, you will lead the ongoing hazard analysis process for neutron scattering instruments and the Bunker. Your role will involve coordinating closely with engineers, safety experts, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. You will play a critical part in analyzing radiation hazards, producing documentation for regulatory approval, and developing safety functions to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities
Hazard Analysis Leadership: Lead and coordinate the hazard analysis process for neutron scattering instruments and the Bunker to identify and define radiation safety functions to mitigate risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with other divisions and licensing bodies to ensure compliance with Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) requirements, and provide documentation to support regulatory approval.
System Analysis & Updates: Guide non-expert system owners through the process of updating existing hazard analysis, ensuring effective implementation of hazard analysis procedures.
Risk Mitigation: Identify gaps and areas for improvement in hazard analyses and accident analyses, and lead efforts to update and mitigate risks.
Collaboration & Documentation: Work alongside engineers from diverse backgrounds, producing clear and comprehensive documentation that supports the hazard analysis process and regulatory submissions.
Radiation Safety Expertise: Provide radiation safety support to partners and ensure adherence to guidelines, standards, and quality procedures related to safety systems.

About You
We’re looking for a Radiation Safety Engineer with:
Proven Experience in Hazard Analysis: A successful track record in performing hazard analysis, especially in the context of radiation safety.
Knowledge of Regulatory Processes: Familiarity with regulatory requirements, especially the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) licensing process, is highly beneficial.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential for documentation and interaction with stakeholders.
Collaborative & Methodical: Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and producing well-written documentation that aligns with industry standards.
Relevant Academic Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a focus on hazard evaluation and safety function development.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Quality Control Engineer, you will ensure the high standards of quality and compliance are met across various sub-projects. You will be responsible for managing quality control activities, performing technical reviews and inspections, and ensuring the compliance of mechanical systems with European directives.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Reviews: Perform compliance reviews on technical documents, ensuring conformity with relevant European directives (Pressure Equipment Directive, Machinery Directive, and related national codes).
Regulatory and Technical Advice: Provide guidance and advice on regulatory and technical matters to projects and teams.
Quality Control Plans: Review and approve overall quality control and inspection plans for various projects.
External Provider Management: Oversee the quality control routines of external providers.
Inspections and Testing: Carry out installation inspections, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and pre-shipment/receiving inspections at suppliers or upon arrival.
Documentation: Review, compile, and manage technical documentation and quality records.

What We’re Looking For:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent and relevant work experience.
Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience in Quality Control with proven experience in quality control within the mechanical domain and a deep understanding of European directives such as the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and the Machinery Directive (MD).
Skills: Strong knowledge of compliance reviews, inspections, and regulatory frameworks. Expertise in quality control systems, including NDT, FAT, and SAT.
Industry Experience: Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear, oil & gas, or life sciences is a significant advantage.
Language: Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Proficient in MS Office and experienced with relevant quality control software.

The position is scheduled to start in September. The estimated duration of the project is 6 months with the possibility of extension. Please note that this job requires 100% on-site presence in the office in Lund, Sweden.
As a Piping Designer (Aveva E3D) main tasks will include:
You will be involved in the coordination of the design activities together with the Design Lead Engineer, contractors and designers. You will participate to coordination and integration meetings, produce the relevant reports and status of the activities. The design work will be performed in the Aveva suite including Aveva Diagrams and Aveva E3D.
We expect:
• At least Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• At least 5 years of piping design work.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
• Good knowledge of AVEVA E3D, AVEVA Suite and AVEVA Diagrams for piping design.
• Experience and understanding of a complete piping project with its phases and interfaces.
• Well oriented in pipe fittings and piping components.
• Delivered complete detailed pipe design.
• Experienced collaboration between detail design and installation/manufacturing.
• Understanding of quality and final documentation.
• Good knowledge in common norms and standards applicable for process and mechanical engineering and design, specifically PED.
• Experience from Nuclear piping or Oil & Gas design work is preferable.

As a Equipment Acceptance Leader you will support the NSS project organisation to ensure that equipment and components that are to be incorporated to the ESS facility fulfil relevant directives and standards. Main tasks will include:
• Leading equipment acceptance activities including quality control.
• Leading and organizing acceptance testing of systems.
• Leading trouble shooting initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance of technical components to operational requirements by identifying applicable directives and standards.
• Identifing potential gaps in terms of quality related activities and documentation.
• Defining actions and deliverables required to ensure compliance.
• Authorizing equipment for installation.
• Coordinating activities with and between internal actors such as Quality, Environment Safety & Health (ESH) and Technology groups.
• Developing acceptance test protocols with system responsible.
• Supervising and witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) on site and externally as appropriate.
• Verifying quality and internal consistency of technical documentation and maintenance procedures.
We expect:
• Engineering degree in a relevant field (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineering) or an equivalent education and experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
• General understanding of EU standards and directives for equipment and/or installations, such as the Machinery Directive and the Electrical LV Directive.
• Experience in CE marking of equipment according to the above-mentioned directives.
• Experience in compliance testing.
• Experience in compiling the technical documentation for machines and/or industrial components or systems.
• Experience in machine installation and commissioning.
• Experience in coordinating the activities of small and/or medium-sized teams.

• Find/use appropriate templates.
• Assign reviewers.
• Describe purpose of review.
• Help identify review scope necessary.
• Start review process.
• Proof-read and edit technical documents in English (fix formatting errors, language errors).
• Create clear and easily followed user guides and technical documentation for systems and equipment.
• Help document owners fix existing documents with known errors and bring them into alignment with quality requirements for ESS documentation.
• Structure the documentation.
• Assist with gathering of documentation needed to demonstrate compliance of equipment with safety and quality standards.
• Determine where documentation needs to be complemented or updated.
• Ensure information held by the group is organized and retrievable.
• Manage content of Confluence page (website).
• Manage Jira tasks.
