About Cognibotics

Cognibotics puts years of research on industrial robots, accuracy, calibration and motion control to practical use. With a product portfolio containing both add-on components for top performing classical robots, as well as new robot designs with record breaking reach, speed and precision, we help our customers improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency by providing top performing robot solutions for new and existing industrial processes.

Background:

One of the most interesting use-cases is the compensation of deviations due to process forces based on motor torques. In combination with techniques for calibration and model-based control of resonant systems, this creates new opportunities for using robots in machining applications. Typical applications are material removal processes such as milling, drilling and grinding.

The targeted market is global, with the Chinese market being identified as a particularly important one. Furthermore, there are presently specific customer requests in line with Cognibotics' solutions. Thus, we seek a qualified engineer that in collaboration with partners/users in China can contribute to the R&D within robotic machining.

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree in a field that is relevant for industrial production.
• Good experimental skills (documented and with references available).
• Interest in a methodological scientific approach to problem solving.
• Experience of robot usage, both in terms of programming and application setup.
• Ability to interact with Chinese stakeholders, in Chinese.
• Interest in follow up application/product support at Chinese premises.

Location and conditions:

Will be placed at our headquarter in Lund, where experimental facilities are available.
The position is open immediately.
