In this position your responsibilities are divided into three main areas:

About the job
You will assess and implement new security initiatives, work on security-related incidents, perform risk assessments on critical infrastructure and systems throughout Alfa Laval globally with Data Centers in Sweden, US and India. 

As IT and Cyber Security Specialist you will
* Respond to security-related incidents and problems and act as the primary escalation point.
* Examine logs, alerts and continuously monitor the global IT environment and improve our detection capabilities by implementing security controls.
* Conduct risk/vulnerability assessments on IT infrastructure, systems and services and take the necessary steps to document, escalate and mitigate the risks.
* Analyze and understand technical information and creating knowledgebase articles, Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
* Perform forensics investigations on escalated security incidents or data breaches and work with internal and external parties to do wider and deeper investigations when needed.

This role is a new position within IT Infrastructure Management, located in Alfa Laval’s HQ, Lund.

What you know?
We believe you have broad technical knowledge and are specialized in the IT and Cyber Security area.You have at least 3 years’ experience from working with Incident Response, vulnerability assessments and technical security implementations, preferably from an international company.It is meritorious if you are experienced in the AppSec field and can support the development teams with secure code training and light penetration testing. The Patent Department of Alfa Laval handles patent, trademark and design matters for the entire Alfa Laval Group.

We are looking for a Patent Attorney for our office in Lund to manage a portfolio of inventions and patents within chemical engineering, process technology and mechanics.

We work closely together with the R&D Departments of Alfa Laval from the first embryo of an invention to the finished product, and through the life of the product and patent.

The work includes evaluation of inventions as well as drafting and prosecut­ing patent applications. Managing patent portfolios of in-house clients and counseling on patent law and practice, freedom-to-operate analysis and due-diligence are also major responsibilities, together with competitor patent surveillance and litigation.

You will also be active in defending our patent rights and opposing those of our compe­titors, in particular before the European Patent Office. Another very important task is a continuous dialogue with the R&D departments in order to provide good advice on patent matters.

The Patent Attorney we are looking for has have a couple of years’ experience of patent work and has an academic degree within chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering physics or similar.

Knowledge about process technology and materials technology is an advantage.

Travelling is a natural part of the position. and The position as Patent Attorney  includes many international contacts, so you should have good communication skills and be able to use English fluently as it is Alfa Laval’s working language.
